Short Gothic Story

Marilyn gazed out of the tower window, pining for a life outside the castle walls. She looked below, the castle mote crashed against the side of the tower in a threatening telepathic response. A chilling breath brushed Marilyn’s shoulder; she shuddered and reluctantly turned to be faced with her captor, Heinrik leering at her. Marilyn stumbled backwards in shock but Heinrik grabbed her from the back of her neck and she tumbled into his barbaric arms. Marilyn was at Heinrik’s mercy. ‘I’m thirsty.’ he whispered. She gasped in dismay. Heinrik tickled her neck as he brushed Marilyn’s hair from her neck. Heinrik slowly lowered his mouth towards her enticing, fair skin. He laughed softly as she trembled. His fangs sunk into Marilyn’s skin, she let out an agonistic cry but this only encouraged him as he began to gnaw on the flesh around the bite. The blood flow spurted out, ‘Ecstasy!’ Heinrik gasped through gulps of blood. Then, suddenly Ulrick, Protector of Human Welfare Against Vampires (PHWAV) launched himself through the window. Heinrik threw Marilyn from him as Ulrick slung a large piece of the broken glass through Heinrik’s heart. Marilyn fell through the broken window, doomed to peril in the watery depths.
